What they said about us.....
"The robust installations are a good advert. A no-nonsence approach."

"This is a company that has been built up on a solid reputation.
I am fortunate that I know Woking Aerials work, his reputation goes before him. Any person employing Woking Aerials is assured of a job well done.
Again being able to see work close up shows that Alan provides a service which is to be envied.
The system viewed by me was very impressive...."

"This assessment was carried out as an NVQ assessment session.
I observed Alan, visit a domestic property, qualify the customer, fault find/diagnose the reception issue, and install a complete new aerial system.
This was done to an exceedingly high standard."

The £805.00 Rip-Off
I received a telephone call from a resident of Sonning in Berkshire. He came straight to the point and said that he had recently had some work done and was after a price comparison.
Now I wouldn't normally give a price comparison because we all operate differently, we all have different overheads, like office rent and vehicle leasing, just to name two.
But he went on to say that he was taking the issue up with the Citizens Advice Bureaux and they had suggested that he contacted me for a comparison price, because I am a member of Trading Standards 'Buy With Confidence'.
So, to help him and the Citizens Advice Bureaux I asked him what was the work he had done.
The installer changed the LNB on a satellite dish and replaced a 3 metre HDMI cable in the cavity wall.
Well I came up with the initial 'Service Call' plus an LNB and the HDMI Lead.
I estimated that the work, labour and materials to be about £150.00
He said that he had been charged £805.00 that is not a typo, that is 'eight hundred and five pounds'.
For some reason it took 2 hours to complete, even though the property was a bungalow, probably twice as long as it would have taken me.
Whilst he was shocked at the amount of the invoice, he still paid the installer before the installer left the property.
Without naming names, I asked him if the work was done by a 'local' company, and he said that he/they had a 'local' STD number.
I then, without any prompting, named the 'one man band / company', and I was exactly right, and I do not work anywhere near Sonning.
I come across this frequently, and it tends to be the same three/four people/companies doing it.
Two of these people, whilst advertising differently, are the SAME company, your telephone enquiry is forwarded to the SAME office, miles away from where you are calling from.
These advertisers are not local, they tend to be a national company, purporting to be 'local' by using a 'local' Telephone Exchange Number.
So, my advice to you all is, do a bit of research before you commit to anything, start by looking on the Trading Standards 'Buy with Confidence' website HERE
And, if you are unhappy with the amount you are being charged, Do Not Pay the invoice, because once you have paid it, it is deemed that you are happy with the work and the price charged.
